Aldous Harding captivates on her 4AD label debut Horizon

The New Zealander's single compels through aural simplicity, with European live dates to come in May

The later single from Aldous Harding is something of a reintroduction to the New Zealander, as she joins the 4AD roster.

Given the track record and esteemed lineup on the label, we’re bound to pay attention to any new addition, and in Aldous they have acquired a captivating talent.

Horizon compels through aural simplicity, predominantly just her and a piano, with shades of The Kick Inside-era Kate Bush amidst its twists.

Horizon is borne of a collaboration with producer Josh Parish, and – we presume – is the beginning of the road toward a new album.

Aldous Harding’s debut album was a self-titled affair, released in 2015.

She’s set to travel to Europe for a series of dates in May, including four in the UK.
