Green Day announce Sheffield Arena show

The new date is in addition to their Glasgow and British Summer Time performances

Green Day have announced a July date at the Sheffield Arena, adding an extra show to their summer schedule.

The 3 July performance in South Yorkshire is in addition to the previously announced Glasgow date, at Bellahouston Park on the 4th.

They’re also confirmed for British Summer Time at Hyde Park in London, headlining on the first weekend of the festival on 1 July.

The summer dates follow three hit arena shows earlier this month, in London, Manchester and Leeds.

The pop-punk legends have a new single, Still Breathing, out now, from their 12th studio albumĀ Revolution Radio.

But many going to the shows will surely be doing so for a rare UK opportunity to catch the classics from Dookie, Nimrod and American Idiot.

Green Day’s 2017 UK dates are their first since they headlined Reading and Leeds Festival in 2013.

Support is yet to be announced for the new dates, save for British Summer Time, where the undercard includes Rancid, SWMRS and The Hives.

Tickets for Sheffield go on sale on Friday at 9am.
