Korn have been added to the growing lineup for this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival.

They’re added the day after a bigger announcement that included headliners Kasabian, metalcore group The Amity Affliction and pop-punks Jimmy Eat World.

The nu-metal band, surely now veterans of the genre, released their 12th album The Serenity of Suffering in October.

Korn formed in 1993 and four of the current lineup – Reginald Arvizu, Brian Welch, Jonathan Davis and James Shaffer – were part of the band at its inception.

Current drummer Ray Luzier joined in 2007, replacing original member David Silveria.

At the height of their success Korn were one of the leading rock bands in the world, with hits including Freak On A Leash, Did My Time and Twisted Transistor.

Reading and Leeds Festival take place concurrently on the bank holiday weekend of 25-27 August, sharing their lineups.

Weekend camping tickets for each festival are priced at £205 plus a booking fee.
