The gruff group of new indie and punk stars are the latest to be added to the debut event

TRNSMT Festival has confirmed seven more bands for the debut event this summer, adding some of the UK’s best indie talent.

They’re all part of the Jack Rocks 7, a group of new artists picked out by Jack Daniels to play at a number of festivals this year.

Welsh rock band Trampolene are the most established band on the list, although all six are making a name for themselves with haste.

The Blinders, as featured in our 2Q Festival coverage at the weekend, and White Room are the two standout names.

The Jack Rocks 7 is then ably completed by The Wholls, Bang Bang Romeo, Broken Witt Rebels and The Sundowners.

They’re also slated to appear at The Great Escape, Isle of Wight and Reading Festival as part of the deal, as well as at live shows in conjunction with promoters This Feeling.

There’s also a showcase at The Sebright Arms in London on 18 April.

TRNSMT Festival takes place at Glasgow Green from 7-9 July, and will feature a heavy-hitting list of headliners.

Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro top the bill. Catfish and the Bottlemen, The 1975, Two Door Cinema Club and Blossoms are some of the others to be previously confirmed.

The beginnings of the King Tut’s stage, revealed last week, added the likes of Sundara Karma, The Amazons and Declan McKenna to the deal.

Tickets are reasonably priced, at £149 for all three days, and are on sale now.
