Royel Otis can reasonably be described as one of the world’s biggest indie pop bands, with their viral covers and bookings to play all of the western world’s biggest festivals.
The duo have continued to release music prolifically since their debut album Pratts & Pain released just over a year ago, the latest being new single moody.
Cryptically described in both press materials and on the artwork as “a song about a girl”, it’s produced by pop producer Blake Slatkin, but nonetheless stays true to the laidback Royel Otis sound while adding in some ’90s-esque chilled drum beats.
Otis Pavlovic and Royel Maddell have been previewing music from their next album in their live sets recently, so expect an announcement on that soon.
They’ve also announced a run of tour dates in North America for late in the year, and are scheduled to play in the UK at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer.
