L’ESPIRAL is a collaboration between Zoë Bleu and Reggie Debris that started last year with a cover of Sinéad O’Connor’s Troy and has since grown into a body of original work.
With Zoë firmly in the foreground they’ve released a number of singles, impressing with the cinematic art pop of Erotes and Cassiopeia and now hitting again with the ’90s-styled neo-psychedelia of Mr. Babylon .
Strongly influenced by Primal Scream, it features rolling piano and a vocal performance that goes from laidback and easy to a fervent yelled finish.
L’ESPIRAL’s touch of theatre and impressive production values are born of Zoë’s acting background and her familial connections as the daughter of actress Rosanna Arquette and music industry supremo Jon Sidel.
The other half of L’ESPIRAL, Reggie Debris, is a veteran of goth-electro duo Collapsing Scenery.
